Gdynia OPEN 2021
International Children’s and Youth Song Festival online edition

2. Place and time:
The Festival will last from 1.04.2021 to 04.07.2021
The festival consists of three stages:
3. Accreditation:
Payment of the accreditation should be done after the presentation of the Finalists’ list from 17.05.2021 to 19.05.2021 by 23:59. The lack of the fee will result in removal from the Finalists’ list. In case of resignation from the Festival the fee will not be refunded.
- Soloist – 50 PLN
- Duet – 60 PLN
- Vocal bands and family groups – 20 PLN / per person
The finalist is obliged to pay the fee on Youth Center’s bank account: 46 1440 1026 0000 0000 1253 0625 with the following information added: akredytacja ,,Gdynia Open 2021’’ and the name and surname of the Finalist. In case of duets names and surnames of both the competitors or the band’s name.
4. Age categories
Soloists and duets:
- Up to 10 years
- Form 11 up to 12 years
- Form 13 up to 14 years
- Form 15 up to 16 years
- From 17 up to 18 years
- From 19 up to 25 years
Bands (from 3 to 15 vocalists):
- Up to 12 years
- From 13 – 18 years
- From 19 – 25 years
Family groups (from 3 to 15 participants)
- Without any age restrictions
The year of birth of the participant determines the age category. In case of duets/bands age category is determined by the age of the oldest participant.
5. Participation conditions:
The Festival is organized for soloists, duets, vocal bands and family groups. Choirs are not allowed to take part in the Festival.
- In order to participate in the Festival it is essential to fill in an online Application Form which can be found on www.gdyniaopen.pl from 01.04.2021 till 09.05.2021 (you are also asked to prepare the link to the film and a picture).
- The participant is also obliged to attach to the Application Form the link to the recording which is to be placed on www.youtube.com. The link must be signed correctly. Recommended resolution of the recording is 720p or 1080p.
- Filling in and sending the Application Form is equivalent to the acceptance of this Regulations and to giving consent to personal data processing by the Organizer.
- In case of duets and bands the consents must be signed by the parent/legal guardian of the competitor under 18 years old. In case of the adult competitor he/she signs the consents by himself. Scans of the signed consents must be sent on gdyniaopen@mdk.gdynia.pl by 12.05.2021 23:59.
Requirements concerning festival videos:
- Contest video sholud be filmed horizontally and from one camera shot not neccessarily static one. No editing is allowed.
- Contest video can be recorded in home environment. The usage of microphone is not necessary but acceptable.
- In soloist‘s presentations choirs are acceptable (only vocal presenations of the soloists will be evaluated).
- Any interference in the recording by post-production is unacceptable, only LIVE recordings are acceptable.
- Contest video should be placed on a private youtube.com account as PUBLIC with the following information:
- name and surname of the contestant
- age category (the year of birth is taken into cosideration)
- title of the song
- postscript: Gdynia Open 2021
- Example: John Kowalski, 15-16 years, ,,Music“, Gdynia Open 2021
Note: Lack of any of the documents and attachments may result in rejecting the application.
6. Organizational principle:
- The length of the presentation cannot exceed 5 minutes.
- The participants can take part in a few categories.
- Each participant is obliged to send a picture and You Tube link to the recording with the video presentation of the song which also should be attached to the Application Form.
- The Organiser informs that participants of the Festival are obliged to use artistic works with respect of the copyright or related rights of their authors, performing artists and producers.
- The Organiser is entitled to change the Regulations, the date of the Festival, or cancel the festival without justification.
- All matters not included in the above Regulations will be settled by the Organiser in agreement with the Jury.
7. Audience Award:
- All the performances of the Finalists of the festival take part in Audience Award online vote.
- The online voting takes palce on : www.gdyniaopen.pl
- The time period allowed for voting is from 17.05 to 31.05.21 12.00.
- Each person can cast only one vote on his/her favourite performance from an technical device with the same IP e.g. computer, tablet, phone.
- The performance with the biggest amount of votes wins the Audience Award.
- It is not allowed to use any methods or programming which could result in generating higher amount of votes, or disturbing the site /website.
- Taking part in voting is voluntary and free of charge.
8. Prizes:
Performes selected by the Jury in the age category up to 10 years will receive statuettes of „Smiling Fishy“ and a material prize.
Performes selected in the age categories from 10 years above will receive the statuettes: „Gold Fishy“, „Silver Fishy“ and „Bronze Fishy“ and a financial prize.

- II prize – 400 PLN
- III prize – 300 PLN
Bands
- I prize – 700 PLN
- II prize – 600 PLN
- III prize – 500 PLN
The Jury has the right to change the amount and the alocation of the awards in each category.
The Jury can decide to award additional material prizes.

- Your personal data / personal details of Your child will be processed for the implementation of the “Gdynia OPEN 2021“ festival online edition and archiving documents based on art. 6 par. 1, point a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/48 / WE (general regulation on data protection) – Dz.U.UE.L 2016.119.
- You have the right to access, rectify your personal data / personal details of your child, limit their processing, and the right to object to the processing of personal data and the right to withdraw any consent at any time with the reservation that withdrawal of consent does not have impact on the lawfulness of data processing, which was made on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
- You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory body, which deals with the protection of personal data, if it considers that the data is being processed contrary to the law : Protection Data Office, 00-193 Warsaw, 2 Stawki Street
- The period of processing Application Forms with your personal data / personal details of your child by the Administrator is 2 years counting from one year after the festival finishes.
- Your personal data / personal details of your child may be made available to other entities on the basis of legal regulations and entities with which the Administrator has concluded agreements on the entrustment of personal data.
- Your personal data / personal details of your child will not be subject to automated decision making and profiling.
- Providing data is voluntary, but necessary for the implementation of Gdynia OPEN 2021 festival.
- Your personal data/ personal data of your child can be transferred to different countries (e.g. USA) as a result of using Facebook, You Tube. We inform you that servers of Facebook and You Tube are located in the USA where personal data protection regulations are different.
